Position summary: We are expanding our Custom Solutions team and are looking for an Assembly Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling Swagelok and third-party products as specified by the technical department, to create customized solutions for our customers. This includes tasks such as fitting assembly, tube bending, welding, and other fabrication techniques.
The new team member will work closely with colleagues from various departments to fully support our customers' needs. This position will report directly to the Custom Solutions Manager at Nordival.
Key responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Pre-assembly of components and/or parts when required.
- Assembly of Swagelok – Custom Solutions products according to documentation provided by the customer and the technical department.
- Cutting, assembling, and inspecting materials with precision and accuracy.
- Performing required quality tests (e.g. Bubble Leak Test, HLT, or as specified).
- Carrying out accurate measurements and quality checks.
Education & Competencies requirements
- High school diploma with a technical/mechanical focus.
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
- Understanding of various components such as actuators, valves, and pressure and/or temperature sensors
- Preferably 3+ years of technical or manufacturing experience (as a lead assembler or similar)
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and assembly processes.
- Experience with fluid systems, tube bending, and orbital welding (considered a plus).
- Knowledge of SolidWorks software or willingness to learn (considered a plus)
- English language proficiency at B1 level.
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new tools.
