Sales Account Manager- Freelance professional (Emerging Markets)

Position summary: Due to the expansion of our Commercial Team, we are looking for a Sales Account Manager – Self Employed for our Emerging Markets as Romania and the Balkan regions. The successful candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, excellent communication and presentation skills, outstanding customer service and a team-oriented mindset. Our ideal new hire will work closely with cross-functional colleagues, including Engineering Services, Operations, and Technical Inside Sales to fully support our client’s needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and foster relationships at target accounts to position Nordival Srl – Swagelok Italia as the preferred “fluid systems partner” for the assigned customer accounts.
  • Sales growth in product offerings for Swagelok fittings, valves, regulators, hoses, measurement devices, sampling systems, services, and custom solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical (application and product) presentations to audiences that consist of executives and engineers.
  • Develop applications and industry specific knowledge for all primary products and service responsibilities for the industry mix located in the assigned accounts.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between local customers and the Italian HQ team.

Customer Marketing and Sales Plan

  • Create a detailed Account Plan for each of assigned accounts to ensure proactive planning in place to achieve determined growth goals.
  • Develop a plan to convert targeted prospect accounts that do not currently buy from Swagelok.
  • Conduct maintenance and engineering “prospecting” seminars to introduce new products and services and/or reinforce existing capabilities at qualified and targeted accounts.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed key sales metrics as determined by Nordival Srl – Swagelok Italia management team.
  • Work with Marketing to develop and execute specific marketing plans for assigned customers, products, service, or industries.
  • Leverage Swagelok Engineering Services capabilities to conduct certified Swagelok Field Advisory Service events.

Education and/or competencies requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (Engineering is preferred) but not required.
  • Minimum 5+years total experience in a sales role in one or multiple specified markets: Oil and Gas, Chem/Refiners, Alternative Fuels, Clean Energy, Semiconductors, Pharmaceutical and/or in similar industries.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of a broad range of fluid system components and applications is a plus.
  • Romanian native speaker.
  • Knowledge of English language.
  • Knowledge of Hungarian or Balkan languages is a plus.
  • Embrace learning for self-development and respect the diversity of thought.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements

  • Freelance type of contract.
  • Driving license.
  • Work from home.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned local territories and abroad, including overnight as needed.
