Position summary: Our Sales Team is growing, and we are currently looking for a Sales Account Manager to support the Italian market, with a particular focus on Southern Italy. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Close collaboration with colleagues from various departments – including Engineering Services, Operations, and Inside Sales – will be essential to ensure full support for customer needs.
Key responsibilities
- Identify growth and development opportunities in target markets to secure contractual specifications for current and future customer projects.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and the team to develop a territory-based sales plan aimed at increasing company revenue.
- Increase sales of Swagelok products, including fittings, valves, regulators, hoses, measurement devices, sampling systems, services, and custom solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations (on products and solutions) to highly qualified audiences, including engineers and sector-specific technicians.
- Develop and maintain positive business relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their needs and delivering a high level of customer service.
Customer Marketing and Sales Plan
- Identify key roles within the customer organization, with a focus on internal decision-makers.
- Work actively with the Marketing team to develop and execute targeted sales actions for customers, products, and services in specific markets.
- Promote collaboration with the Engineering Services team to expand the range of certified Swagelok consulting and services.
Education and/or competencies requirements
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering) is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a sales role in one or more of the following sectors: Chemicals/Refiners, Alternative Fuels, Clean Energy, Semiconductors, or Pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of a wide range of components and applications for fluid system solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, PowerPoint.
- Good written and spoken English – B1/B2 level.
- Willingness to learn, grow personally, and embrace diverse thinking.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements
- Full-time, permanent contract.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and abroad (when required), including overnight stays if necessary.
